2024 Keystone Springdale | Baird, TX
The Keystone Springdale Classic is a new, budget-friendly RV that goes big on features. Despite a starting MSRP of just $23,723, every floorplan is packed with great amenities like a 15,500-BTU air conditioner, large refrigerator, and sleeping accommodations for at least six people.
There’s no doubt about it: this compact travel trailer sets a new standard for what to expect when shopping for a new RV on a budget.
Floorplans and sizes
The all-new 2024 Springdale Classic is available with 11 distinct floorplans. Overall length starts at 25 feet 4 inches and climbs to just short of 34 feet on the largest models. Total height is 11 feet, plus or minus an inch. Weight is 4,570-6,880 pounds.
All of this makes one thing clear: the Springdale Classic is a relatively small travel trailer, one you’ll have no trouble towing with a midsize pickup or large SUV. It’s also one you’ll find easy to set up in a small campground — especially with the backup camera and electric stabilizer jacks. Just push a button and voila, your RV is stable.
Despite the small size, sleeping capacity ranges from 6-10, while fresh water capacity is 46-54 gallons. In other words, this RV enables you to have a lot of party fun on a budget — and if you’re just camping by yourself or with a partner, the camping can go on for a week or more before you need to look for dump stations and fresh water fill-ups.
Plush master bedroom
Regardless of floorplan, one thing that doesn’t change from one Springdale Classic to another is the private bedroom. Spacious and fitted with a queen-size Tempur-Pedic mattress (king-size is available), it’s the perfect place to come back to after a long day outdoors. But first, a trip to the shower; which, on the longest models, is directly adjacent to the bedroom, giving it even more of that master bedroom feel. The shower is surprisingly large given the size of the RV, with enough space to get your elbows out and stand upright beneath the skylight. Back in the bedroom, there’s plenty of storage for clothes, and bedside surfaces for tablets, phones, or reading lamps. On the two longest floorplans, a private second bedroom enables your guests to enjoy the same luxury, while available bunk beds provide comfy sleeping space for larger groups.
Functional living space
In the living area, it’s hard to see how the new Keystone Springdale Classic gives up anything —if it does at all — to make its low price tag possible. The deep sink, 10-cubic-foot refrigerator, solid surface countertops, overhead cabinets, and deep pantry would look right at home in a larger RV or residential apartment. A two-burner range with glass covers looks positively premium among the light gray cabinetry and silver finishes. When it’s time to reheat leftovers or meals you prepped ahead of time, the large microwave is more than up to the task.
On some floorplans, like the entry-level 200RLC, the dining area is surrounded on all sides by large, openable windows, setting the perfect stage for a memorable camping meal. And when night falls, it takes only a few seconds to convert the dinette into a 1-2-person bed. The same goes for the comfortable sofa just opposite.
Convenience all around
With various solar prep packages, power-extendable awnings, and even an outdoor kitchen — after all, is there any greater pleasure than cooking outside? — the new 2024 Keystone Springdale Classic also delivers big when it comes to exterior features.
