When you’re ready to put your new trailer through its paces in Austin, the following are some of the best places to camp.
McKinney Falls State Park
Just roughly 13 miles out from Austin, McKinney Falls State Park is a wonderful place to visit. It boasts lots of beautiful nature, campsites with electricity, 9 miles of winding hiking trails, and the lovely Onion Creek. You can easily spend a few weeks at McKinney and never run out of things to do and see.
Campers and lovers of motorsports owe it to themselves to stay at the COTA Camping site next to the Circuit of The Americas. Doubling as a concert venue, the racetrack is home to some of the coolest events in the world. Emma Long Metropolitan Park is the ideal place to spend a hot Texas summer. It features the beautiful Lake Austin, where you can swim or go fishing. There are also a variety of places to camp at Emma Long, including waterfront campsites that are well worth the premium.
